Times Ten is a one-of-a kind, 10-piece powerhouse of an ensemble, featuring the original music of long time Austin saxophonist/composer Dr. John Mills. 06.24.2012 Hank joins the Austin Symphony Orchestra for a Jazz Big Band Concert in the Park. In its tenth summer season, these free ensemble concerts take place in the Hartman Concert Park. 01.04.2012 Hehmsoth awarded New Music USA grant in music composition The Composer Assistance Program assists composers to realize their music in performance. The grant is project-based, and facilitates the public performance of Hehmsoth's composition Carlos' n Charlie's at the worldwide 15th Annual Inside Out Steelband Festival in Austin. Additional funding and support is supplied in part by the City of Austin through the Cultural Arts Division. Audiences heard the first public performance of this work April 17 at One World Theatre, performed by the Knights of Steel, one of the most respected steelbands in the country.
