  • “I am out to find a signature American sound, with a global approach and blend of influences, that gives my music a brand, its own unique place in the international scene. I wish to push jazz in new directions, but never lose the soul of Bebop."
  • A contemporary composer's thoughts on new music, jazz, and the world culture in synthesis
  • H Project ensemble is in its 15th year with first performances of new works each year
  • Chick Corea and I talked jazz and piano. Details are in my Pathways blog.
  • "... very loose and open to possibilities, he takes it to another level, writing, playing, his compositions continue to evolve and grow. I had a chance to play with Hank and hear some of his compositions as well. A very fine musician, indeed! He demonstrates a strong sense of originality and compositional craft."
